The project comprises three new build houses that take influence from the early 1930s Arts and Crafts inspired properties nearby. The scheme maximises the potential of the site whilst also preserving and protecting a number of mature oak trees that exist on the land.
The design responds to the scale and grain of the surrounding urban area. The houses feature white and red brickwork, terracotta roofs and projecting bay windows, creating a family of homes each slightly different from the next. Close collaboration with Harringey Council in response to the Council’s wider plans for the redevelopment of the Tunnel Gardens estate has resulted in planning permission being achieved.
