Ian Troake RIBA

Ian is an architect with over 20 years experience. He studied at Canterbury School of Architecture for his RIBA Part 1 & 2, where he was awarded a first class honours degree and a postgraduate distinction for his work. He completed his professional training at the Bartlett School of Architecture, UCL in 2004.

Before establishing Troake and Rowsell Architects, Ian worked at several London practices including John McAslan + Partners, Stanton Williams and Allies and Morrison, where he was an Associate. At Allies and Morrison he lead a number of housing, office and retail projects including the refurbishment and remodelling of the award winning Grade II listed German Gymnasium Restaurant in London's King's Cross, for developer Argent LLP. Ian is also currently a guest critic at the University of East London.

verity rowsell rIBA

Verity qualified as an architect in 2009. She undertook her RIBA Part 1 & 2 studies at London Metropolitan University and went on to complete her professional training at Cambridge University, where she received a prize for best case study. 

Verity has a strong background in conservation and is passionate about the creative adaptation of existing buildings. Prior to establishing Troake and Rowsell Architects, Verity worked at Yabsley Stevens Architects (YSA), where she specialised in high end residential refurbishment. She also worked with RIBA award winning and internationally renowned practices such as Allies and Morrison and Building Design Partnership (BDP). During her time at BDP, Verity was an Associate within the Heritage department and lead a number of cultural and educational projects, including the award winning transformation of the National Army Museum in Chelsea, London.
