Baizdon Road, Blackheath
A new garden room has been created to the rear of an existing 1950s terraced house, located within the Blackheath Conservation Area, which negotiates the change in level from the existing house down to the garden on a steeply sloping site.
The single storey rear extension has a zinc roof, bookended by brick flank walls on either side for privacy, with large rooflights to bring daylight into the depth of the plan. Large full height windows and folding doors connect the inside with the garden. Internally the ground floor has been opened up to provide a greater sense of space, views and natural light.
